Boatman's Loneliness

Solivagus

    Continues after the ad

Through veins of green, I carve my way
A shadowed soul on waters gray
The paddle bites, the silence screams
A world alive, yet lost in dreams
The canopy weeps, a shroud of gloom
Each ripple whispers of my doom
No voice but mine, no light to steer
The river’s pulse, my only fear
The current pulls, a fleeting ghost decaying

    O loneliness, my wretched crown
In endless streams, I'm sinking down
The jungle looms, a titan’s breath
A beauty vast, a dance with death

    The river mirrors stars untold
A brief warmth in waters cold
The grandeur holds me, vast and deep
In nature’s arms, I long to weep

    Continues after the ad

    Thorns engrave my silent name!
    Skyless days ignite my shame!
No fire, no flesh – just hollow breath!
A shrine of roots becomes my death!
Mud for blood, and bark for skin
A void devours the light within!
No path, no time, no solemn grace!

    O solitude, my fragile throne
Through emerald halls, I drift alone
Yet in this void, the wild sings free
A mournful hymn to bury me

    O loneliness, my wretched crown
In endless streams, I'm sinking down
The jungle looms, a titan’s breath
A beauty vast, a dance with death

Drift on, drift on, through infinite green
    A boatman lost, unseen, obscene
The river cradles all my pain
A lonesome soul in nature’s reign
In beauty’s grasp, I’ll cease to be
The boatman’s curse - will face it for the eternity
