Avoid Every Second Thought

Halfway through Saturday (4:37pm)
i missed my chance for success
and Sunday (Feb. 3rd)
i tried to turn my life around

always looking for a monument or a medal
but what i really needed was a chest to pin it on
so i let out a nervous laugh when they didn't pat me on the back
im learning to take everything in stride
im learning to avoid the worst

so chalk up another victory for me
i figured out the maze and escaped with
more than the skin on the back
came back to Massachusetts with some new found knowledge and
something to show everyone that hated how i did things
