Lifelines

I'm breathing a word for the very last time today,
But I can hear no sound.
I spread out my arms from the moon right until my heart,
But I don't leave the ground.

I'm counting the trails on the back of my hand again,
But I can find no plan.
So I try to forget all the letters inside my head,
Just to start again.

Dreams are only for believers,
Hearts are only for the griefers.
Reading lifelines just to find a little space between them.
Hopes are only for weepers,
Memories are just for sleepers.
Drawing lifelines just to celebrate a happy ending.
