Injustice Rising

Injustice rising from within
A deposition of the crown
Salt my wounds and take my pride
Condemn me for the tears i've cried
But i'll feel no shame for debts i've paid in my life
Just leave me be, i can no longer care
If there ever was my time to rise
There is nothing that i can possibly do anymore.

Taken by surprise, left behind to fall once again
So i stand and wait alone, questioning my fate in life
There has got to be another chance for me
But chances are so often lost like broken dreams

There is no reason, there is no answer
Inward shadows, outward questions
Projections of my conscious mind
I feel no pain, left numb, am i insane
If there was hope, it left me long ago.

Can this be all that's left in life before me?
I must regain the throne
If i find i'm next in line, all in time
This peace of mind will let me heal.
Escape the maze, my destiny
The last to stand, if it's meant to be
