Downward the stairs I go
Into the unknown zone
Drawn by the undertow

To places I don't know
The fear's growing so strong
Afraid of the dungeon
I've built in myself
A pilgrim to the innerself

I finally found my private hell
I taste the fire
Glowing desire
My darkest place is calling me

Unconsciously I `ve built a prison for my soul
I threw away the key to open up the door
The ego grew so that it took the control
I hardly heard the voice which led me to the core

Imprisoned by the mind
Is truth so hard to find
The ego well disguised

There is a reason
For this cunning treason
It keeps me from facing
The enemy inside
