On the wall of my bedroom, where the paint began to peel
Where the world map was a dream that only time could reveal
I saw a frame that had never been there before
A dark little gateway, a secret waiting at the core
Dust and decay, the smell of ancient moss
A foolish impulse, accepting the final loss

In a misty garden, the first silhouette appeared
Tall, so very tall, a statue to be feared
Her glasses of glass, round and bright
Filtering the strange beams of an otherworldly light
With a faint smile and a voice like a chime
She carried an aura of fate and passing time
