The faith walk is not for the faint-hearted

It's not all glitz and glamour, we might stammer

The church is for workin', the ? and ours get
Take orders from the bosses
Work in the trenches, ain't got no corner office
We'd trade all this hate that this place offers
I'm speakin' of the world cuz you know they hate all us
They hurl insults on us, hate vomit
They're made nauseous by our faith author
They diss that for witchcraft, they're H. Potters
I state all this for the Saints' knowledge
To spread to you masses, like a state college stand firm
Faith lawyers, till we make partner
With the Saints marchin', through the gates promised

The faith walk is not where the cake walk is
Die daily, we wake to wakes often
Die till our wheels fall off, no breaks off this
Ride till the wheels fall off, the brakes altered
Submit to the head of the body, the brains are all this
We privileged to be hands, feet, legs, and organs
We keep pace with His grace, who paid the way for us
Who made the way for us, who overcame all this
So now we look to Jesus, and run the race onward
Pride low, faith high, and our face upward
Brave hearts and warriors, who stay armored
Knowing He would never leave us, it ain't yardwork
We press on, leave nails without all the details
With no sight we read braille, the faith for us
Ready to die if we have to, we brave martyrs
Grateful that in this fallen world His grace caught us
