To Be Nothing

it's hard to see why life was set to be this way
is this the reward I've worked for
is this the result of choices I have made
or does life chose itself for me

predestined to be nothing
predestined for so much of random hell
we might as well not try
for things they fall so heavy all the time
come crashing down

now what has lead me to this point
or am I just a victim of myself
in all complexities of simplicity
is this just karma
