Overthink

My home, now in ruins, crumbles day by day
In silent decay, it slowly fades away
Hands reaching out to the wind, lost in contemplation
I ponder the words of my last poetic creation

Why does existence seem so unjust
Leaving me adrift, in melancholy's gust?

Tied down by despair, burdened by life's weight
I kick at the bench, as my spirit contemplates
I just want to rest, please, stop this overthink
