Astronaut

In the vastitude of the universe
Floating deep space in a ball of dirt
We all just want them simple answers
For all those not so simple questions
In my little spaceship and my astronaut suit
Only about 70 or 80 years to explore

Well, I chose a direction to go
Not knowing what I'll find
If anything at all

I left the safety of the harbour
Afraid of monsters adn of sea storms
I'll find the answers that I'm looking for
Or I'll die trying on the ocean floor

Suddenly I'm in deep sea
All them questions fell so far away
Far away on the shore
Far away on the shore

No words could ever express
What it feels like to be
In the midst of this love
In the midst of the love
Between the Father and the Son

And I'm just afraid of ruinning it
I'm just afraid of doing something
That would take me away from this
Away from this revelation
Away from this exploration

'Cuz like an astronaut
I'm out of my mind
I'm part of the body of Christ
