Fire in the Sky

I felt a bitter wind tonight
The stars were just too bright
Like a ghostly pantomime
They played across my mind, and softly mesmerised

Oh.. and I know I touched the sky
Oh.. Now I'm falling

Now in my twisted memories
Lie the threads of sanity
How can a star so far away
Burn as bright as day, are they coming back for me

The fire burns twice as bright inside my mind

I've tried, I can't escape the fire in the sky

It only takes me back to a place of twisted dreams

Your hands before my eyes bring back the memories

And I'm afraid to fall asleep
Wake up dead or sink too deep
Lifting up my eyes to find
Another fire in the sky
