I know what they say
But not why i'm still listening
Clever how they speculate
Even in honesty
Afraid that i'm like them
Or what they want me to be
I've heard that all power
Comes from the people but
It never returns
Then why is this pressure still building

The most sacred consumers

Everything that thrives
On hopelessness and less
The contmpt for the weaker
The cries for one leader

The constant etceteras
That ignores everyone
Without the proper
Hallelujah or background

What i hate my own hate
Wearing me out
I've self-medicated
Selt-pity turned into self-hatred

What i hate to be part
Of this everyday
I must find
An excuse for my life
