Scarecrow Bones

Turns out that
Spark I thought I saw
In your eye
Was just a
Glass shard
Catching the light

I thought you were whole
But I look closer, closer
Your smile is seashells shattered on the shore
Your skin is ashes scattered
Your eyes are mirrors showered in bad light

Your hands how they are splintered
Gather up my fallen timbers
And right my scarecrow bones
Will you stay with me and watch the flowers grow?
