The Fortune Teller

Went to the fortune teller
Had my fortune read
I didn't know what to tell her
I had an inner feelin' in my head

Soon she took a look in my palm
She said sonny you feel kinda warm
And she looked into her crystal ball

My status could stop this show
I'm not for all the girls I know
And she said when the next one arrives
You'll be lookin' in her eyes

I left there in a hurry
Lookin' forward to my big surprise
The next day I discovered
That the fortune teller told me lies

I hurried back down to that woman

Now I'm a happy fella
I'm married to the fortune teller
We're happy as we can be
And now I get my fortune told for free
