I rang you this morning
But l got the ansaphone
So I walked around to your place
I knocked but it appears you're not at home
I tried to catch you at the supermarket
Before you picked your kids up from school
So I sat and waited
It's sod so sad
I need someone to talk to
But it appears I'm talking to myself

I wrote you a letter this afternoon
Complete with spelling mistakes
But I threw it in the bin
I'm a pessimist and I don't believe in miracles
I saw myself as al pacino
Freeing myself from these chains
But if I see a hand I need to touch it
It's sad so sad
I need someone to talk to
But it appears I'm talking to myself
