What Brings Me Down

There are times when things go wrong
Wrong enough to make us fall
You realise how strange is the world
While cities burn, others struck gold

That brings me down

On the ladder to the moon
You’ve got to find a way to the truth
Reality is not always good
But facing it will take you up

Though it may bring you down

Without questioning the same old rules
People walk towards the cliff
When darkness falls upon our land
We’ll see how blind we were to the light
