Sleepless
I’ve been
Strung out across the two sides when
They both appear to fit right beside each other

Your name
To no answer while I’m unfolding
Antecedents in my solitary state
And it’s one and the same

Building it up
And tearing down
Before this
Time goes and the impulse
Is to scream in silence

Lift up
Pull free
My shadow breaks and divides me
And I descend
‘Til I’m pinned back underneath

I’m standing in
This house of cards again
There’s no place to rest
So I revolve instead
Alone
And it’s one and the same
Though it seems divided
