These days I seem to think a lot about the way I'm living
Not trying as hard as I should and being less forgiving
I know I shouldn't hurt myself for the errors that I make
But when you're alone self-destruction seems the only way

So then I got to thinking about my mortality
About how fragile and fleeting this life I have ahead of me
Regret is not a friend I wish to keep, I know my enemies
They're working from the inside trying to take the best of me

So I try get by with a vibrant mindset
Finding the time with my inner peace
And the fact that I'm trapped in a land, unmapped

But I felt the pain in my heart when ken died
Know that I carry it with me daily
We've all lost loved ones, I guess, that's life, right?
Seems like my life might try and break me

A promise to no one, gets all crazy
