Start Over

Lying in bed
the stars overhead
each one twinkles its life away
'till nothing's left
and I don't believe
we've got too much left ourselves

And I still don't know you
as well as I'd like, but
it wouldn't be right to say
that I haven't tried
well, maybe this time
we can see eye to eye

Let's start over again
when the new day begins

And I know it should be easy
but I'm lost for words
as I try to say the things we knew
but we've never heard
until now
I'm not sure that I could

So you try your I love you
and I try mine back
and I say mine to spite all the
days that we lack
but we've still got today to say I love you
