In The Yards

Without a question it is she
The children mimmick in their yards
And they rest stones on their fingers
And pose like movie stars
They put leaves in their hair
It is the sap that holds them their

The littlest girl
Eyes so bright
Claims she dances in the bars at night
And she sticks a stick in her mouth
And she poses for a light
Says she's a dancer
President
And bigger name to leave

Got it alright
Grass stains on clothes so burgandy
She fights the wars with the boys
Old brooms as her uzi's
And she tells a story of a teacher
Who let her paint what she did see

She is a woman you've never seen
There's colors splashed on her skin
