On My Back

I went shopping in a garbage can
I found two moldy heels and a rubber band
my life needs a commercial break
because this life is to much for me to take
my dreams are always ended when I wake (oh yeah)

well I'm on my back,
but at least I'm looking up

I was charged with unarmed robbery
I was labeled a criminal mockery
I set out to rob a gas station
with some pantyhose and a water gun
couldn't bring myself to harm anyone (that's right)

I'm looking up, at the grime on the dirty streets
I'm looking up, at the bottom of peoples feet
I'm looking up, at the residence where I can't live
looking up at the sky the picture's grown too big
my troubled life seems insignificant (oh yeah)
