I’ve been sleeping through my darkest days
Just to force myself to see nor feel
How, despite my knowledge, I have failed
To be brave at all times

How could I lose the strength to fight?

Fight, it’s exhausting

Fight, always a new challenge to face

Sometimes when I’m opening my eyes
There’s the darkness that’s awaiting me
To embrace it and enlighten it
But it has been enough

Overcome this fight

In this nightmare of chosen blindness
I try to obstruct the change persistent
Though I feel it's inescapable
That I need to surrender

Now I cannot sleep but lay awake
For I realize what I’ve become
Like those I looked down at, saw as fools
Those who sleepwalk through life

In these words lies the will to fight
