Got One In The Chamber

Once again the sky pours down it's sorrow
I catch it in my hand
through my fingers, dripping to the thirsty ground
liquid drops of pain
memories hitch a ride in on the stormy wind
the wounds still fresh, they've never healed
dancing flames consume the pile that was our life
smoke stings my heart and eyes

loneliness has filled my empty life
though i've searched for happiness, i still could never find
got one in the chamber, squeeze and fire
this scarred and broken heart will never feel the pain again
thanks to a piece of lead
