The Lighthouse

I see the lighthouse from afar
I hear the shadows moving on

I see the shadows in the bar
Reminds me of how I got this scar
I tried to hide it in a star
But it will come for you as it has come for me

I see the shadows on the wall
I see the writing on the wall

Got a letter in a jar
It says that I have gone too far
It says that I should find two friends
And to paint the walls with my own two hands

How can you tell apart
If nothing's real anyway
The closer to your heart
The more you need to push away
And every time you stop
It seems like you're so far away
The lighthouse in the dark
Won't chase the night away

I see the writing on the wall
I see shadows on the wall

But it's not too late, if it's not too late
I will take it all in stride
I will make it through the night
And start again
