Haunted By Shadows

I'm trapped in a forest that is hiding our peace
I cannot get out, and I still do not know why it is so,
Why I'm down here below these trees that is
Casting their shadows on me
They're whispering my name,
I can hear, but I don't reveal that I do,
They shake, but I'm just moving on,
Through the dark woods with a torch in my hand,
I search for a sign, but I still have not found what we've lost.
I'm frightened, but I'm just moving on.

They cried for my soul as I walked out the gates,
Fear of my defeat was their pain.
I'm leaving this world with my head held high,
My courage is made out of steel.
