Emptiness

Feelings of emptiness, have consumed me
Trapping my soul, and I am never free
Feeling so tortured now, and so very lost
My pure soul, has become the final cost

Let me escape, I'll find a way
Time is upon, reckoning day
Soon it will come, I know its here
And no longer will, I fear

So distant from the world
And I am so lost, never to return
Oblivious, the world remains
Purity, is pumping through my veins

Emptiness, has taken me
My soul, never free
Hopeless cause, and I am gone
Fate prevails, never wrong

Centre of my universe
Haunting, its horrible curse
Redemption, awaiting the day, it comes
Finally, setting me free

Knowledge of the world, imminent doom
Overbearing, foreseeing the gloom
Optimistic, seeing light in darkness
Show me now, the light which I seek

Finally, I shall be set free
Returning to the world, a new entity
Free of hatred, and feeling remorse
Forgiving the world, for the hatred it caused
