Sitting here in silence
I can not make a sound
I'm paralyzed with fear
From what lies on the ground
Another soldier dying
Can't help but question why
Will this war ever turn to peace?
Will I be the next to die?

Moving on in silence
Struggling to survive
In this never ending battle
Of the quest to stay alive
Marching on in silence
Never looking back
Preparing for the worst
That waits in the next attack

Once again it's proven
Man kills man at will
Through the years have we only learned
Better ways to kill? Learning to kill!

Camouflaged with colors
Trying to keep still
Target straight in sight
Now I'm learning how to kill
Looking on with horror
Dug in nice and tight
See the flash of evil
I'm blinded by the light.
