No one ever believed in me
I didn't believe in myself
Not a word of praise ever came my way
Nothing but shaking heads and doubt

I started taking the low road
Started living just for the end
I didn't find God or Jesus
And the devil was my only friend
The tree was felled and falling
Walls caving in all around
Now I'm turning over a new leaf
Gonna take it to a higher ground

I had a wreckless disposition
So I blacked out all the Sun
There was something that had control of me
I was a loaded and a smoking gun
I came in through the back door
I was biting all the helping hands
I was angry loud and oh so proud

But now I'm ready to make a stand
