That Itch

In the light a glitch
And the ground that shakes
Like a sign I missed
A sound

In the dark I wish
That I could be a kind of witch
Who would know which way to pick
When you go

Just the other day
On the bus I missed a step
I was embarrassed and gawky
Being with others

But I go out again
And my street has no end
Where there’s no sign
There is no way
I pass

In secret a snitch
Makes something soft itch
An invisible twitch
A hide
