The Guides

As my thoughts were battling with my will
I feel the coming of the first guide
The clouds are moving aside
As the thunder cracks and breaks the still
A light pours onto my face
Cleanses me of my disgrace

An angel of unspoken beauty
Slowly descends and stands before me
I heard a heavenly voice “are you waiting for me?”
“I am the guide in your heavy duty”
I am the one who knows the way
To heal the wounds and ease the pain
Together we'll forever reign
I am the one who shows the way

A silhouette shows in the distance
Distracts my eyes with his slow pace
As he bows and hides his face
Could he be my true assistance?
Could he free me from my darkest fear
As he's whispering in my ear

With trembling voice hardly spoken
“My son I come from distant lands
Just put your faith in my old hands
And make an oath that won’t be broken”

I am the one who knows the way
The final picture is portraying
The sun descends and silence falls around
It finds me thoughtful laying on the ground
But still I hear their voices saying
I am the one who knows the way
