Yeah I might be a son of a bitch
but I still don't get why you just won't call me back
at night I just can't sleep so in the afternoon
all I want to do is nap
and there my mind can wander aimlessly and always end on you
until the daytime sleep takes over - let me guess - to dreams of you
i guess all this time and space and quiet between us makes me feel alone
your arm must be so damn tired cause you just can't find the strength
to pick up the phone

that we've had enough between us, we can still be friends
then i picture you, wandering through your day to day
