Someone

Running round in circles I learned to play a game
Where rules are nonexistent and the players are the same

And this is where I met someone as different as can be
Who ran around against the crowd agreeing to disagree

This someone made it clear to me that everything we do
Is based upon a disregarded universal truth

And even though we seem to have it all under control
Thereʼs always something else thatʼs eating at your soul

I hate how it is
I hate how we all forget to live
I hate how we donʼt move on
I hate how we wait for the other to be gone
I hate how I would do the same
I hate how I know there was nothing to gain
But alas I am sure
That I donʼt want to anymore

Maybe its a fact that none of us know what to do
Or maybe we donʼt care enough to find out what is true

Then someone walks into our lives and changes how we see
The shooting starts and airplanes are brighter suddenly

I hate how it is
I hate how we all forget to live
I hate how we donʼt move on
