The Dragon Song

And I saw an old dragon captured in a circle of flames
And inside his eyes I could only see sorrow
But his heart was firm as a stone

The arrows could not make him flee
And the laughed at the shaking of spears
Upon the earth there is not his like
Who is made without fear

When the breath of wind caresses the earth
And the seas wail again
Then you can see the dragon fly
Through eternal dreams

The rain kept falling into the great woods of magic
Where the dragon had gone to rest
The flames of the bonfire leaped
High into the night
Challenging the rising Moon

Then the vast horizon flickered suddenly
And the lightning started to shout
When the darkness took over
The shifting landscape
To vanish the rainbow above

Fly into your freedom
O' great and might dragon
Search for a silent place
Where you can find peace in your heart

And I saw the dragon flying into wilderness
With the wings like an eagle
This memory l shall not forget
Until l take my Final breath
