Violet rays of a buried Sun

These horrors dwell in the mind
Defiled by human hate
They manifest-take flesh
At twilight
They pass through the gate
In the realm of a shadow Sun
Dark work has just begun
A place between life and death

To vanish in the deep

Strange lights
Cast ghoulish visions
And illuminate the grave mounds

Among saturnine depths
Life melts away
As above, so below
Stars hang
Chained around your neck
The noose remains

Blood to fire
Flesh to earth
Skin to water
Sepulchral rebirth

Passing through the tunnels
Among the insane
They swarm together
Like rats down a drain

The belly of the beast
Groans with expectant pleasure
Bowels of the earth
Machinery is multiplied
A furnace looms and feasts
Upon infernal treasure
As chimneys spew black ink
Into the stony sky above

Haunted, hunted forever
Stalking through
The kingdom of the damned
Banished, banished, forgotten
Deliverance by your own hand!

A thousand eyes-spinning wild
Penetrate
Burning hook-molten blade
Lacerate

Jacob's ladder
Now a spinal column
Transform, mutate
Opposites reversed
They fall from the rungs
To the gaping maw below

As sanity slips away
Descent into shadow
Beneath the rot

Return and turn to clay
In fire of fever you waste away
Stillness of the tomb
Lost rivers flow beyond the gloom
This world lumbers on
