Neverender

I was alone
Cold to the bone
Clinging to a broken mast
Adrift upon this ocean vast
I clung on
So tightly
With a water logged and rusty compass
Wondering where I might be

How did we get lost so easily?
We found ourselves in the nether fog
With too many mouths and not enough grog
What to do, a ship without a crew?
She said it with her creaking timber
But what she said I can't remember

All aboard the never ender
Blown to hell, but she'll never surrender
She drags us though the waves of eternity
She'll fight to live by any manner
Bones and blood she flies to banner
She promises death but will set you free
Her enemies are great in number
While they live she'll never slumber
Hunting them down in the witches hour
For those possessed of bloody hunger
Get your fill on the neverender
We set sail for the end of days

I go
Where the winds blow
Drifting to I know not where
Is there anybody out there?
Like me
A ghost at sea
Surely just a passing thought
A slowly sinking memory

And there she was, a shadow in the fog
Cutting through without a sound, it's towards her prey that she is bound
I reached out; my mind had not a doubt
She said it through her creaking timbers
