Sidewalk's Remanence

as a flower, eases its way through the sidewalk, i see it ... its
color, possesses the town, creating all the by-standers, to frown
... as i walk up to it gracefully, theres nothing more, ive got

out. these thorns are protected by a layer, a layer of dust ...
theses thorns are protected by the sidewalk. as i (as i) walk up
