"Love for Sale" is a song by Cole Porter introduced by Kathryn Crawford
in the musical "The New Yorkers", which opened on Broadway on December 8, 1930
and closed in May 1931 after 168 performances.
The song is written from the viewpoint of a prostitute advertising "love for sale".
Other arrangements use A-major in place of the E-minor-6,
The use of E-minor and the E-minor-6, makes for a sultry mood, and I use the A-major for the main lyric,
as it makes it more musically interesting, and lifts the mood slightly.

Listen to the YouTube video and really get the feel for the syncopation of the E-minor & E-minor-6 sequence.
