It’s a theory carved in time
From the pages left behind
On a planet torn apart
Turned to ruins, turned to dust
The cradle of decay
Nature’s law thrown away
The birth of a myth foretold
And the end of mankind unfolds
Ancient empires rise once more
Breaking through the ocean floor
With their laws and sacred rites
They walked blindly through the night
Worshipping their gods of stone
Golden idols on their thrones
In their chalices and arks
Flowed the wine to leave its mark
Another world was built anew
From ashes where the old one grew
Piece by piece, the ground was laid
Stone on stone, old tech remained
Travelers from distant skies
Heirs with stardust in their eyes
Leaving trails of who we are
Etched in light across the stars
A species born out of place
Struggling with time and space
Scorched by Sun, or frozen sore
Twisted limbs, and lives cut short
Living daily drowned in pain
Processing with fragile brains
All we need, to stay alive
Relies on what we can devise
Another world was built anew
From ashes where the old one grew
Piece by piece, the ground was laid
Stone on stone, old tech remained
Like a bird that needs no more
Than a nest to feel secure
Man enslaves without regret
The first race that this land met
And will bring this world to end
Just like the last they did condemn
Only red soil will remain
Life erased, and none to blame
They believe they rule it all
But they don’t see how they will fall
Colonizing what was lost
Left behind at deadly cost
Another world was built anew
From ashes where the old one grew
Piece by piece, the ground was laid
Stone on stone, old tech remained
