Don't know when it began
Do you hate when people love you
Or do you not relate to them?
How much of it's genetic
How much is by the hand

Well either way
Either way you can feel it
You can write your brain down and then pray someone reads it
All while saying no one sees that

Everyone likes to be forgiven
Everyone's born to be deranged
You cannot ask for what's unbidden
You cannot always act your age
Biting your tongue on every sentence
Letting it dry out on the floor
What is a life? It's not repentance
Can you get what you're begging for?

Frozen like a fossil
This overflowing cup
Do you hate when people move you
Or do you wish they'd pick you up?

Well either way
Either way you can watch it
You can pluck out your eyes and wear them in a locket
Can prepare and aren't shocked when

Leaving a note out on the pillow
Riding your bike around the drive
Watching the Sun drop through your window
Waiting for night to make you tired
Spending a life on other people
Hoping it bleeds into yourself
What is a life? It's only lethal
It's drowning in mud and shouting help

Maybe I've gone a tad dramatic
Maybe I lost the point somewhere
