A despondent boy with only one eye
Abandoned and unloved, how he doth cry
Oh, how he is tortured by this hellish world!
Awaiting the witching hour
Listening to the devil's choir
To summon a demon and trade his soul
For this world is a sight worse than hell!
Daemon, venite ad me hac nocte
Summoned from the seventh circle
Hell's most reluctant immortal
A demon child with one eye
Who brings about rot and blight
He doth speak of sadness and hate
In the hellfires that await
For there is no love in that burning place
There is nothing but spite at hell's gate
Da mihi amorem vicissim, quod ego vere volo
Swarms of flies crowd and sing
Around his slender body and pitch crow's wings
Of a demon in the form of a boy with one eye
From shadows he doth arise
Sinful wants he provides for a toll
The cost of one human soul
He was unable to bring himself to manipulate the poor boy's fate
For love had enraptured his heart
How could he send him to his grave?
Could the boy's soul be saved?
Amo te alte! Si modo ego, qui non a diabolo!
The boy doth delight
In the pleasures the demon provides
Shall his soul be lost in the divide?
The demon looks on with remorse
And forges a plan to break the pact
With regret, his final act
Potest daemon qui amat esse iniquos?
The demon holds a cold iron sword to his chest
Farewell, my darling, may your soul be blessed
Promitto, nos occurrit in caelis est
The boy wept for the demon who gave his life
And vowed to become good once more
Promitto, nos occurrit in caelis est
Swarms of flies crowd and mourn
The boy whose chest was pierced with the iron thorn
The demon who was forgiven for his crimes
And as the morning comes, a funeral bell chimes
Promitto, nos occurrit in caelis est!
