In music, in the smell of the sea
But every memory goes quiet
And I forget where I used to be

I stayed here, like a verse with no end

Softly echoing deep within

It rained on the brightest Sunday
And the house cried for us both
The paintings, the books, the plans
Now belong to the almost

And time that used to run
