Thats the basic part of the song. You can add more strumming inbetween lines depending on what part of the 
song you are playing as the song (like a lot of Charleys) picks up in speed as it goes a long.

I'm not completely sure on the lyrics but I believe the first verse is 

Was the late of spring
some [summer?] day
when he left here (there?)
Hes gone to stay,

Now Harrys gone
Charley don't you worry,
He's staying at camp number three.

There is also the line with slide instead of vocals, which is along the lines of this:
